Two Upcoming Art Exhibits

REMEMBRANCE OF THINGS PAST
I'm in a group show opening Dec 2nd, with an associated reading & performance on Dec 11th. Some of the work Carol Dorf and I collaborated on will be up. The opening will be December 2, 2011, from 5:30 – 9:00 pm
On Dec 11th at 5:00 pm we'll have a related reading with Autumn Stephens and music composed by Dan Plonsey.
Carol Dorf's writing has appeared in Sin Fronteras, Sentence, Moira, Hip Mama, The Prose Poem Project, Unlikely Stories, In Posse Review, Poemeleon, Fringe, The Midway, Runes, Feminist Studies, Heresies and elsewhere. She is poetry editor of Talking Writing, was an editor of Five Fingers Review and has taught in a variety of venues.

Autumn Stephens, co-editor of The East Bay Monthly, is the author of seven non-fiction books of women's history and humor and the editor of two compilations of women's personal essays.

Dan Plonsey composed the opera "Leave Me Alone" with libretto by Harvey Pekar, which premiered at Oberlin College, 2009. His composition "Dan Plonsey's Bar Mitzvah," was performed at the Contemporary Jewish Museum. He has received several "Meet the Composer" grants, as well as commissions from Theater of Yugen, The Jewish Film Festival, and The Berkeley Symphony.
